Highly recommend flying out from Long Beach with Island Express. And then taking the Catalina Express boat home from Avalon to Long Beach. When you arrive you’ll need to taxi to get you back to the helicopter landing to pick up your car.
My favorite hike is early morning in the Wrigley botanical gardens. Make the climb all the way into the park up to the Wrigley Monument. Great panromic views.
Highly recommend renting a golf cart for 2 hours and going all the way up Wrigley road up towards Mt. Ada. Breath taking view of the ocean and the casino.
Highly recommend the Casino Ballroom tour. They do about 2 in the morning starting at 10:00am. Rich history behind the construction of the theater ballroom and the 1st motion picture theatre built for acoustic sound.
There are many places to stay on the Island, but the crown jewel is the The Avalon Hotel. Love their continental breakfast in the morning, And don’t forget to go on the roof for your wine and casino sunset. Very romantic spot for your partner.
One of my favorite spots is on the pier. Is Eric Restaurant. I’m not endorsing meat, but I Have to say the Buffalo burger is fantastic!
